August 6, 2012 will be fifty years of Jamaica’s independence. Reaching this landmark will be a great achievement. More importantly, it will be the start of the next fifty years. Jamaica 50 is a celebration of Jamaican and African heritage through the arts. It is also a medium where Jamaicans, Jamaican descendants and friends of Jamaica can make contributions in giving their views on issues concerning our heritage.
Jamaica50.com aims to promote community education, the works of Jamaican artists - professionals, amateurs and students, to run arts competitions and to sell artists’ works.
Jam History and Arts and Culture give a brief summary of Jamaica’s history and culture.
We aim to add a forum where our thinkers can go at length in solving the problems of Jamaica and the world.
